INSPECTOR SYSTEMS 2015 - 2016
Inspector Systems is among the TOP 100
The Rödermark company makes it to Germany's innovation elite/distinction with TOP-100 mentor Ranga Yogeshwar.
The TOP 100 most innovative German SMEs were honoured for the 23rd time. Inspector Systems Rainer Hitzel GmbH is among this year's innovation elite. The Rödermark company previously participated in a challenging, scientific selection process. Innovation management and success were investigated. The innovation competition’s mentor, Ranga Yogeshwar, honoured the top innovator as part of the German SME Summit on June 24 in Essen.
Central recording of welds with an iridium source
An isotope supports testing — reduces effort and costs
Various radiographic tests were conducted on weld seams during the routine annual inspection at a German nuclear power station.
Time was a critical factor having a major influence on this project's success due to the short-term planning and narrow time window during the shutdown. INSPECTOR SYSTEMS was able to score points using a customer-specific design solution to reduce of the time cost by quickly rebuilding an existing pipe robot and making it usable for positioning an iridium source. Only that enabled testing of the weld seams in the interior area. The positive effect was a significant time savings in comparison to the conventional measuring method from outside.
Full service for the pipeline: Grinding, Welding, Testing, Vacuuming
Qualification of repair tasks inside of pipe systems in nuclear engineering
The repair of pipelines that are not accessible from outside poses big problems for various operators. In practice the contractor can't get from outside to the pipeline to be detected and worked on in special areas at all or only to a limited extent with the greatest exertions, costs, and shut-down times.
Millimetre work: Cabling through offshore platform wasn't allowed to get in the way
Grinding robot removes a cable-channel conduit's root overhangs
A drilling platform is a complex structure in the open sea that is used to mine petroleum and natural gas. There are different implementations with regard to the construction type. Once there are steel-frame constructions, which are connected to the seabed. Floating platforms anchored with ropes are moreover involved.
On the search for reduced wall thickness
Whether it's district-heating lines, loop reactors for manufacturing polymers, or... there are manifold application areas for ultrasound test robots from Inspector Systems.
The industrial use of ultrasound tests in the steel industry began over 50 years ago. At that time the emphasis was foremost on fault testing. The application spectrum was later expanded to include wall-thickness testing. Today wall-thickness measurement is one of the most frequently occurring ultrasound applications in the world of non-destructive materials testing. Especially in the pipe industry, considerable efforts to use ultrasonic wall-thickness measuring systems were also undertaken in years past — for good reason!>
With explosion protection for 310–510 mm inside diameters, ATEX 1+2
Ever more frequently in the recent past there were requests for inspections in explosion-proofed areas, which we were previously able to service partly with restrictions or not at all. Since the end of 2015 we've now been able to offer video-laser inspections for this critical environment in pipes with inside diameters of 310 mm to 510 mm using our model 5000 ex-protection robot. The robot has qualification for zones 1 and 2 under ATEX.
And what else there was...
Mainly on site: China, Singapore, Indonesia
INSPECTOR SYSTEMS has now been in Asia too since 01 Jan. 2016 through the firm of QNET EAST ASIA CO., LIMITED with headquarters in Hong Kong and branch office in Shanghai. We are pleased to introduce Peter Bieder, founder and owner of QNET, as commercial partner with sole right of representation for China, Singapore, and Indonesia. Peter Bieder has acquired extensive market expertise and experience from the various industrial sectors through his years presence and work experience in Asia.
Trade-fair presentation at SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen, UK
In September of last year it was time: we participated for the first time as exhibitors with our own stand at SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen, UK. This fair's main topic is the environment of oil and gas production in the deep-sea area (offshore).
