Order for the development of a total of 13 non-destructive testing and processing robots

Framatome offers comprehensive solutions for the development, construction and maintenance of nuclear power plants. Its services include a range of design and manufacture of components, the development and production of nuclear fuel and fuel elements as well as a broad portfolio of services for reactors. Framatome employs around 14,000 people and has been a subsidiary of the EDF Group since 2018.

Framatome and INSPECTOR SYSTEMS have been working together successfully for decades in the field of pipe robot technology. These are grinding robots, laser inspection robots, X-ray inspection robots and suction robots with different diameters in the range of 10 and 27 inches. These robots are used in nuclear power plants and sometimes have to navigate complex pipeline isometrics. Depending on the application, the robots have to be inserted into the pipeline through narrow valves. The newly designed robots help to further improve maintenance together with high safety standards at French nuclear power plants.
